Frosty Pinecones and Holly

Hi, it is Christine from Susan Tierney-Cockburn's Design Team here.   Today I have for you a Christmas card that I have designed using Susan's Garden Notes "Whitepine Boughs and Pinecones" die along with "Holiday Holly and Berries" die.  I just love working with all of Susan's dies.  Here we go!

  1.  Using the Accordion Circle Card Die die cut 3 panels from off white cardstock, 4 panels from B&T paper (background and texture) and 2 from Shimmer Sheetz.  Also cut 1 pc of off white cardstock 4-3/4" square and 2 pc of B&T 4-3/4" square.  From off white cardstock cut 2 scalloped circles using the largest scallop circle die in this set and 1 from Shimmer Sheetz.  Also From the Shimmer Sheetz cut "Merry Christmas" using the Quietfire die and "Joy" using ECD's die.  Lastly cut a set of frames for the center panel from off white cardstock using the Square w/ Circle Frame Edges - circles.   Note: on the items cut from the Shimmer Sheetz and the scallop circles I backed the paper with the Double Sided Clear Adhesive before die cutting.

  2. From the 4 B& T panels and the 2 Shimmer Sheetz panels remove the circle and all the tabs.  Set these aside as they will be used to decorate your card base.    Ink all edges of all panels, your circles (with tabs removed), scalloped circles and frame pieces.

  3.  Cut, shape and build your pinecones and boughs using Susan's video found here and do the same for the Holly and Berries using Susan's video found here.  For the icy look I used Dries Clear Designer adhesive randomly and then sprinkled Diamond Dust over the adhesive and shook off the rest.

  4.  Next build your card base using Karen Burniston's video found here.  Susan's and Karen's video are wonderful and very easy to follow.

  5. Using your pieces decorate your card.

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. A Breath of Spring

Hello My Crafty Friends! Finally the daffodils are blooming and tulips are starting to put on buds - Spring has finally arrived here in Maine. Today my card is one that a friend has requested for her mother.  I have chosen several spring flowers from several Spellbinders Susan's Garden releases to create my card.  For my card I have used S4-1085 Lily of the Valley from Spring flora, S4-1175 Lilac from Garden Favorites, S2-340 Forget Me Not from Garden Gate and S5-470 Vase, Daffodil & Narcissus from Summer Flora.   The card base is one I have done before using other shapes for window Sam Calcott has a YouTube video for it (Acetate Hexagon Card) you can find it here .  I chose to do circle instead of hexagon and cut my cardstock 7" square and circles were 4-3/4" and 3-3/4".  I created a box for the card using  Donna Griffith's How to make your own custom sized boxes YouTube video found here  it is a great video.  I chose to add a framed win...

Family Hydrangeas

Hello My Crafty Friends, Today I have another card for you that I created,  my inspiration actually being bouquet of dried hydrangeas that sits on my dresser in an old antique vase.  The hydrangeas are ones that grow across the front of my house they are called Bobo.  These hydrangeas have been on my dresser since I cut them last fall and one day as I looked at them my inspiration hit me. Inspiration: Here is how it was created. Step 1   Card base is 5" X 7 - I used Tonic Studios Craft Perfect Ivory White Card Blanks.  These card blanks are very nice quality also com in white and other sizes.
