Rosey Thank You




Hello everyone my post today is a simple Thank You card that I did for a friend.  Once again I have used Susan's Garden Note Rose 2 Die along with a few other Elizabeth Craft Design Dies.  Susan has so many great dies as well as all the other dies and supplies at Elizabeth Craft Designs you must visit their site to see them all.  Elizabeth Craft Designs

Let's make a card

  1.  Using the next to the largest Stitched Oval die and the patterned paper cut 1 oval.

  2. Using your choice of corner die from Corners 1 set cut 4 corners in pink and 4 corners in black cardstock.

  3. Using A Way With Words - Thank You die cut 1 in pink and 1 in black cardstock.

  4. Cut a rose from pink cardstock and stem and leaves from green cardstock.  Shade, shape and assemble using Susan's great tutorial as guidance.

  5. Using 100# soft finish cardstock cut 2 Easel / Stand glue together and emboss using Dancing leaves embossing folder.

  6. Attach the pink corners to the black corners offsetting ever so slightly to give a shadow look.  (clear drying glue was used here)

  7. Attach the pink "Thank You" to black "Thank You" in the same manner as the corners.

  8. Using clear double sided adhesive attach oval to center of card base.

  9. Using a clear drying glue attach corner pieces in each corner of the card base.

  10. Attach the rose and "Thank You" .


Voila! You have a card.

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. A Breath of Spring

Hello My Crafty Friends! Finally the daffodils are blooming and tulips are starting to put on buds - Spring has finally arrived here in Maine. Today my card is one that a friend has requested for her mother.  I have chosen several spring flowers from several Spellbinders Susan's Garden releases to create my card.  For my card I have used S4-1085 Lily of the Valley from Spring flora, S4-1175 Lilac from Garden Favorites, S2-340 Forget Me Not from Garden Gate and S5-470 Vase, Daffodil & Narcissus from Summer Flora.   The card base is one I have done before using other shapes for window Sam Calcott has a YouTube video for it (Acetate Hexagon Card) you can find it here .  I chose to do circle instead of hexagon and cut my cardstock 7" square and circles were 4-3/4" and 3-3/4".  I created a box for the card using  Donna Griffith's How to make your own custom sized boxes YouTube video found here  it is a great video.  I chose to add a framed win...

Family Hydrangeas

Hello My Crafty Friends, Today I have another card for you that I created,  my inspiration actually being bouquet of dried hydrangeas that sits on my dresser in an old antique vase.  The hydrangeas are ones that grow across the front of my house they are called Bobo.  These hydrangeas have been on my dresser since I cut them last fall and one day as I looked at them my inspiration hit me. Inspiration: Here is how it was created. Step 1   Card base is 5" X 7 - I used Tonic Studios Craft Perfect Ivory White Card Blanks.  These card blanks are very nice quality also com in white and other sizes.
