Inside of card

Hello all my crafty friends!  Today I am doing a quick post of a card I made for someone at work.  I am not doing an actual tutorial on it but I am giving a supply list.  I have combined Several different dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs and a few from my Cricut.  The sky and mountains were created using Susan’s Garden Stencils Earth & Sky and Mountain & Split Rail Fence.  The trees are from Karen Burniston’s Outdoor Edges and the Moose hiker is was cut from Cricut.   Happy Retirement is  Peel Off Stickers.  The inside of card was created with Karen Burniston’s Adirondack Chair Pop Up and Beach Edges .  The Palm trees were cut ion Cricut but Karen Burniston has die for Palm Trees which I do not have at this time. The sentiment was printed and it say “Whether it be hiking the trails or sitting with your toes in the sand ENJOY YOUR RETIREMENT! “.

Grammie Shower

2017-03-13 12.51.50

Hello my crafty friends!  My post today is of pages, card and favors for a “Grammie” Shower that my Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month group threw for our demonstrator.  We made 2 pages layouts for a scrapbook.  My pages were made from a paper pack that I had purchased a year or 2 ago it is  Heartfelt Creations.  I really only added the embellishments.  I made cherry blossoms using Susan’s Garden Cherry Blossoms die set along with Moda Scrap Lace Pocket.

I made a card to go along with my pages and gift using the same paper pack and more cherry blossoms.

Party favors was another item I made using my Cricut machine.

A fun time was had by all.

Hearts & Roses Birthday

Hello Everyone!  Today I am posting a birthday card I made for my niece using  one Susan’s Garden Notes newest dies Rose 3 and Els van de Burgt Studio Entwined Hearts.

Here is the tutorial so you can craft your own card.  Card is a 6″ X 6″ top fold but could also be done as a side fold – whichever you prefer.

  1.   Cut White Soft Finish Cardstock   6″ X 12″ score at 6″ fold on score line to form card base.
  2.   Cut patterned paper 5-3/4″ X 5-3/4″ adhere to front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
  3.   Cut 4 chains using Chains 1 die set and white Soft Finish Cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back.  Adhere to card front 1/4″ in from outer edge lining up ends at edges of patterned paper and watching corners to make sure they cross between links.  Do sides first then top and bottom.
  4.   Cut 4 of smallest hearts from Entwined Hearts die set using white Soft Finish Cardstock again with adhesive on the back.  Adhere to corners.
  5.   Cut 2 each of both sizes of Entwined Hearts from white Soft Finish Cardstock that has adhesive on the back.  Stack 2 largest together offsetting ever so slightly adding dimension.  Repeat for the smaller 2 hearts.  Adhere largest hearts on card front then add smaller ones on left side of larger hearts.
  6.   Using yellow cardstock (or color of your choice to match your patterned paper) and Susan’s Garden Notes Rose 3 cut enough petals to make 2 roses and 1 bud.  From darker green cardstock cut stems and leaves.  Shade and shape using Susan’s Garden 4 pc Tool Kit, Molding Mat and Leaf Pad.  For Help shading and shaping Susan’s video on rose 2 can be very helpful.  You can find video here
  7.   Cut 2 Moda Scrap Leafy Branch 5 from lighter green cardstock.   Add a little shading.  Lay branches face down on molding mat shape each leaf using small loop tool.  Turn over use tool on stems.  Adhere to right side of largest heart using Kids Choice Glue.  Adhere roses and leaves.
  8. Add sentiment (stickers, stamps or small die cuts can be used – stickers used here) to white cardstock in shape of your choice.  Adhere to left side of smaller heart using dimensional tape.

Thoughtful Daisies

Hello my crafty friends!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  Weather is getting better the sun is getting higher staying light longer yippee!

Today I am posting a card that was made for a friend.  Susan’s new Garden Notes Gerbera Daisy die set was used along with Els van de Burgt Studio Stitched Squares, a couple new Moda Scrap dies and Suzanne Cannon Thinking of You die set.

Here is how the card was completed.

  1.  Finished card base is 6″ X 6″ made by cutting white Soft Finish Cardstock 6″ X 12″ score at 6″ fold on score.  At this point you can decide if you want a top fold or side fold card.
  2. Cut a 6″ X 6″ piece of patterned paper to front of card using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
  3. Using 2 largest dies from Els Stitched Squares make frame from white Soft Finish Cardstock.  Lay smaller of 2 dies inside larger die centering – tape together with removable tape lay onto cutting machine making sure they do not shift – die cut.  You will be using the frame only, save the inner square to use on another project. Center frame on front of card adhere with Clear Double Sided Adhesive2017-03-03-12-54-44
  4. From black cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back cut “Thinking of You” using A way With Words Thinking of You die.  Adhere to card front.
  5. From green cardstock cut 3 Moda Scrap Leafy Branch 4.
  6. Cut 2 Moda Scrap Leafy Branch 6/Wheat from dark yellow cardstock.
  7. Cut 3 daisies using new Garden Notes Gerbera Daisy dies in colors of your choice.  Cut each size petal layer 2 or 3 times depending on fullness wanted.  Daisies on this card have 3 of each layer.  Using Susan’s Garden 4 pc. Tool Set and Molding Mat shape petals.  Assemble using Kids Choice Glue.    Add a small amount of glue around just the outer edge of daisy centers sprinkle with pollen (Pollen was used here but is optional). Cut Several leaves from medium green color cardstock. .  Shade using crushed olive Distress Ink. Using tool set and Leaf Pad shape leaves.
  8. Arrange branches, daisies and leaves on card until satisfied.  Attach to card using Kids Choice Glue.
