Lacy Love In A Mist

Image
Hello My Crafty Friends welcome to my blog! Today my post is a card I did using my first attempt with the shibori technique that Susan recently did on her Facebook Susan's Garden Club page.  Mine came out quite light so my next attempt will need some work on paint to water ratio but when I saw the color I just knew Love In A Mist would be the perfect flower to use with it. My card today February 28th, is for my nephew, sister, father and brother which probably sounds a bit strange but for my nephew it is his birthday, my sister who died having him, my Dad who died 45 year to the day after my sister losing his battle with mesothelimoa and my youngest brother's funeral was on this day 3 years ago. Here is how it was created. Step 1 Make shibori background referring to video on Susan's Garden Club on Facebook Step 2   Cut Garden Notes Berry Spray from brown cardstock.  Using Nuvo Crystal Drops add berries to branch set aside to dry.  (Midnight blue drops used here) Step

Happy 18th

Welcome to my blog my crafty friends! Weather here in Maine has been so strange going from bitter cold to spring like weather back to bitter cold with snow and ice in between.  The other day we were having snowstorm in the morning and by noon the sun was out bright as can be.  The old adage is "If you don't like the weather here in Maine wait a minute". My card today was designed for Elizabeth Craft Designs using one of Susan's Garden new releases Cornflower Bachelor Button.  The card is in honor of our 1st grandchild who just turned 18.  Still cannot believe that she is 18 all I can think of is that song originally by Harry Belafonte - Turn Around. A complete tutorial can be found on Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog . Below you will find full list of supplies used and can purchase by clicking on any picture below and will take you right to their site. Welcome all my crafty friends! Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and today I am posting a couple that I have created.  They are same card but I changed out the color of pansies a bit and used ferns.  These cards were created using Susan's new releases Garden Notes Pansy 2 and Leafy Berry Branch 1 along with a couple of her ferns from last release. The hearts are from Becky Seddon's new releases Heartfelt Love and Love Struck . Here is how the card was created. Step 1 Cut 1 Garden Notes Berry Branch 1 from green cardstock.  Using Nuvo Crystal Drops add berries let dry.  Repeat on back side and let dry. Step 2   Cut white cardstock 6" X 12" score at 6" fold on score line - 6" X 6" card base formed.  Dry emboss front of card. Step 3  Cut large solid heart from red cardstock using Becky Seddon's Heartfelt Love die set.  Attach to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive . Always Hope

Welcome to my blog all my crafty friends! Hope you are all finding some time to create some projects. Today my card is one that was requested by a friend.  She had liked the pink one I had done but wanted something for a male so this is what I came up with. Step 1  From brown cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back cut 1 Garden Notes Berry Spray and cut 1 without the adhesive on the back.  Adhere 1 on top of other making a sturdier branch.  Add berries using Nuvo Crystal Drops (Navy Blue used here).  Set aside to dry.  I did berries on both sides of branch like Susan does so you will have to let 1 side dry then go back do other side and let that dry. Step 2  Cut, color, shape and assemble 3 Garden Notes Love In A Mist flowers.  You can use blue cardstock or cut from White Soft Finish Cardstock and color with alcohol markers.  Cut leaves from green cardstock.  Susan has videos on her Facebook page Susan's Garden Club.  October 11th she did Love In A Mist. Step 3  Form car
