Wheelbarrow of Boughs & Berries

wbboughsberries2
Hello my crafty friends welcome to my blog!

Susan's Garden Notes has a mini release consisting of 4 different dies.  Today I have chosen to use the wheelbarrow die to make a Christmas card.  Here is how I created my card.

Step 1  Cut 4 Garden Notes Berry Sprays from brown cardstock.  Using Kids Choice Glue adhere 2 together to make them stronger.  Using red Nuvo Crystal Drops (autumn red used here) add berries to branches set aside to dry.  When dry add berries to back side allow to dry.

Step 2  Cut 2 Garden Notes Wheelbarrow from light brown cardstock 1 with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back - adhere them together.  Using Distress Inks sponge on color all over.  Color wheel with black alcohol marker.

Step 3 from green cardstock cut a bunch of Garden Notes Pine Boughs (I cut a lot as extras will always be used).  Sponge on shading using Distress Ink.  Using tweezers up stem line to hold bough pull up on needles using fingers to give dimension.

Step 4  Form 6" X 6" card base from white cardstock.

Step 5  Cut black cardstock 6" X 6".  Cut square in center using Garden Notes Frame It - Stitched Squares next to largest die.   Cut patterned paper 5-3/4" X 5-3/4" adhere to back of black frame using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  Using 3rd to largest die cut square in center of patterned paper.  Adhere frame piece to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 6  Cut narrow strips of dimensional tape add to back of wheelbarrow adhere to card front.

Step 7  Using Kids Choice Glue start adding boughs and berries cutting berry sprays apart to spread out.  When happy with arrangement add bow.

Step 8  Add white drying glue to boughs and different areas for snow sprinkle with glitter.

Step 9  Add Clear Double Sided Adhesive to piece of black cardstock 1 piece of red cardstock die cut Merry Christmas using Suzanne Cannon's A Way With Words - Merry Christmas - small.  Adhere black on top of red off setting just a little to give shadow.  Adhere to upper left corner of card.

Hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and will make your own.  There are so many possibilities for this wheelbarrow have fun with it.  For any of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Supplies just click on pictures below it will take you directly to their site.
