Family Birthday Cards
Welcome my crafty friends!
Today I have a couple birthday cards I did for our grandson and my hubby. Our grandson and hubby share their birthday - grandson was best birthday gift ever.
Our grandson turned 18 and he loves to fish he has a boat and fishes when he is not working. Hubby turned 79 and loves his John Deere tractor.

Cards are both 6" X 6" and I used a combination of dies and Cricut to make my cards.
The pop up mechanism was same for both it was an old die set of Karen Burniston when she was with Elizabeth Craft Designs - Bathtub Pop Up. Another time I would reshape the bathtub into a boat but I had already hand cut the boat then went looking for a die set that had a pop up mechanism to use kind of like putting the cart before the horse.
KB Riley 1003 Word 2 Birthday, 1031 Numbers and 1049 Camping Charms were used. The fisherman, fish and the silhouette of boat and fisherman were cut on Cricut. Hooked On Fishing was cut from a top strip of design paper from my stash as was the grass and water paper.
For Hubby's card I had no idea what I was going to do for him as he really doesn't have any hobbies such as golfing or anything. A dear friend asked about tractors or lawn mower then I remembered years ago I had bought scrapbooking set of John Deere paper and stickers thinking I would do some scrapbook pages so I went looking and found the packet and went from there. As I said the same pop up mechanism from Karen Burniston Pop Up Bathtub.
The tractor was cut from Cricut then used stickers from paper set to decorate it up. KB Riley 1100 Howdy, 1003 Word 2 Birthday and 1031 Numbers were also used.
They both loved their cards although our son said there was a mistake on Adam's card when I asked what he said it has a fish I should have just had a hook - apparently he doesn't catch many fish.
