Pink Gladiolus On Dragonfly Wing
Autumn has arrived here in Maine the leaves are turning into beautiful colors. This is outside my window at the moment.
Although I do love early fall and the beautiful colors it brings I am not quite ready to give up my flowers so as the real ones fade away I continue with my paper gardening.
My card I have created for you today show cases Susan's new Summer Flora Release Gladiolus one of my favorites - who am I kidding all of Susan's dies are favorites.
Card base is 6" X 6" white 100# cardstock and the front embossed with dots. I have a few embossing folders that are 8-1/2 X 11 by Craftwell. I love this size as it allows me to emboss larger areas.
From white cardstock Spellbinder's Floral Lace Frame was cut then adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
The background piece was printed from a picture that Kathy Monteleone Sabarese posted of a dragonfly wing on Facebook. As soon as I saw it I had visions of it as a background for paper flowers. It was cut to 3-3/4" X 3-3/4 " then adhered to center of frame using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.
6 flowers and 3 buds were cut from Susan's Specialty Paper then colored with Copic RV52. The stems (I cut 2 to extend length for more flowers) and foliage were all cut from green cardstock and shaded with Distress Ink. All were shaped using Susan's Deluxe Tool Kit. Susan has YouTube How To videos for all of these. All was assembled using Kid's Choice Glue which is the absolute best for building your flowers.
The ovals are Stampin Up punches I have had for years. Sentiment was from a CTMH stamp set.
I do hope that you have enjoyed my card and that I have inspired you to go create!
Until next time - Happy crafting!
Christine
