Basket of a Spring Bouquet

 







Hello my crafty friends!

Spring is in the air finally.  Today I have a card I created of a basket full of spring flowers.  Forget Me Nots from Susan's latest release with Spellbinders Through the Garden Gate along with Susan's Garden Lilac, Lily of the Valley and I created on my own Grape Hyacinth using floral wire, tape and colored Styrofoam balls.

Card is 5" X 7" base created from 110# cardstock.  Green Cardstock was cut 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" attached to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  Patterned paper (The Paper Studio - Blanc Boutique was used here) cut 4-1/2" X 6-1/2" adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

From Susan's Garden S6-181 Garden Basket & Glads basket was cut twice from brown cardstock cut handle off then attaching together using Bearly Art Glue embossed using basket weave embossing folder by Darice then shaded with brown ink. Basket was attached to card front using Bearly Art Glue applied around both sides and bottom with pop dots in lower center back.

Grape Hyacinth was created using floral wire, tape, Kids Choice Glue and colored foam beads see photos below.

Supplies - note wire wrapped using floral tape built up on 1 end.

Coat with Kids Choice Glue

Rolled in Purple Foam Beads 

3 stems of Forget Me Nots S2-340 from Susan's newest release Through the Garden Gate were created using Susan's Garden Specialty Paper, colored with PanPastels and shaped using Susan's Garden Deluxe Tool Kit.  Susan will have YouTube video shortly for creating these flowers.

Good Morning Everyone!  Sorry it has been so long since I have posted but I have been busy getting ready to go to Creative Keepsake Convention and then going to convention. I had a great time taking classes, shopping, eating and enjoying great friends. My post today is using one of Susan's Garden new dies and one of Karen Burniston's pop up dies.  It was hard to get a good clear picture because of the shine from the glitter. Card base is an A2 size card (4-1/4 X 5-1/2) 1.  Panel is made by using Karen Burniston's accordion rectangle die.  Attach a piece of sticker paper  4-1/2 X 5-3/4 to a pc of white cardstock the same size using clear double sided adhesive. Cut 1 frame from this.  Cut the rectangle and tabs from center of frame and the long tab on the left edge of the frame. A Breath of Spring

Hello My Crafty Friends! Finally the daffodils are blooming and tulips are starting to put on buds - Spring has finally arrived here in Maine. Today my card is one that a friend has requested for her mother.  I have chosen several spring flowers from several Spellbinders Susan's Garden releases to create my card.  For my card I have used S4-1085 Lily of the Valley from Spring flora, S4-1175 Lilac from Garden Favorites, S2-340 Forget Me Not from Garden Gate and S5-470 Vase, Daffodil & Narcissus from Summer Flora.   The card base is one I have done before using other shapes for window Sam Calcott has a YouTube video for it (Acetate Hexagon Card) you can find it here .  I chose to do circle instead of hexagon and cut my cardstock 7" square and circles were 4-3/4" and 3-3/4".  I created a box for the card using  Donna Griffith's How to make your own custom sized boxes YouTube video found here  it is a great video.  I chose to add a framed win...

Family Hydrangeas

Hello My Crafty Friends, Today I have another card for you that I created,  my inspiration actually being bouquet of dried hydrangeas that sits on my dresser in an old antique vase.  The hydrangeas are ones that grow across the front of my house they are called Bobo.  These hydrangeas have been on my dresser since I cut them last fall and one day as I looked at them my inspiration hit me. Inspiration: Here is how it was created. Step 1   Card base is 5" X 7 - I used Tonic Studios Craft Perfect Ivory White Card Blanks.  These card blanks are very nice quality also com in white and other sizes.
