My Little Bucket Z Fold
Hello My Crafty Friends,
Have been busy the last couple weeks and finally took the time to create a card for you. My card today is a simple Z Fold card so simple but really looks elegant. On Susan's Garden Club Facebook Live last week Susan has put out a challenge using her Wooden Bucket S6-182 from Summer Flora Collection and using flowers from one of the four seasons. I have chosen to do Winter and fill it with winter greenery which is something I do for my home for Christmas Decorations.
Card base is 6" X 6"
Cut 100# white cardstock 6" X 12" score at 3" and 6" fold on score lines 3" is mountain fold 6" is valley fold. Pattern Paper was cut 2 pieces 2-3/4" X 5-3/4" (if using double sided paper you can flip second piece to back side to contrast on second 3" panel) and 1 piece 5-3/4" square adhered to card base using Clear Double Sided Adhesive. The pattern paper I used was by Crafters Companion - Winter's Tale.
Spellbinders Elegant Twist Ovals S5-416 were used. Using 2 largest dies cut white cardstock. Using Clear Double Sided Adhesive on left side of back and card folded add Oval to card front.
Using Spellbinders Susan's Garden Wooden Bucket & Geranium Die Set S6-182 cut Wooden Bucket twice from cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive. I cut 1 from brown cardstock and 1 from patterned cardstock but you can also use Spellbinders Susan Garden Specialty Paper SCS-122 and color
however you would like. Adhere together. Using a couple of dimension dots at center of back add to bottom of oval.
The following dies were used for foliage
S5-515 Winter Evergreen Foliage from Winter Garden Collection - White Pine
S4-1112 Pinecone & Evergreen Bough Set from Holiday Collection - Evergreen Bough
S4-1113 Winterberry & Mistletoe set from Holiday Collection - Winter Berry
S4-1114 Winter Bough & Evergreen Shrubs set from Holiday Collection - Winter Bough
S4-1079 Foliage & Ladybugs from Autumn Flora Collection - Eucalyptus
Several of each of these were cut some from Susan's Garden Specialty Paper and some from colored cardstock. They were colored and/ or shaded then shaped using Susan's Garden Deluxe Tool Kit. On Winterberry the berries I created using Styrofoam balls colored with acrylic paint.
Susan has YouTube videos for all of these.
Using Kids Choice Glue arrangement was built in Wooden Bucket. Art Glitter Dries White Glue and Papericious Frosting Powder was added for sparkling snow.
On inside I cut white oval using Largest Elegant Twist Oval and stamped sentiment. Adhered to inside using Clear Double Sided Adhesive making sure it lines up exactly with front oval. Sentiments I used were from Winter Garden Stamp Set.
Thank you for stopping by today. It's a fun card I do hope I have inspired you to make your own.
Until next time - Happy Crafting!
Christine
