Springtime 3D Envelope Easel Card
Sorry I haven't posted in a while but needed a break to take care of other things. Hopefully I can get back to my paper gardening on a regular basis. I will paper garden when I can't garden outside!
My card today is a 3D Envelope Easel Card which Susan Tierney-Cockburn did on her Susan's Garden Club Facebook "Live" this past Wednesday (April 29, 2023). I had a friend ask if I could do a card for 98 year old mother that is in long term care and wanted something bright and cheery. Since it is spring I settled on flowers that are blooming or getting ready to bloom here in central Maine. I have used the following Spellbinders/Susan's Garden dies S4-1085 Lily of the Valley from Spring flora, S2-340 Forget Me Not from Garden Gate, S5-470 Daffodil from Summer Flora, S3-445 Bee Blossom (Gaura) from Garden Gate and Victorian Foliage Ginkgo and Lemon Verbena from Victorian Garden. The heart for the sentiment is from Spellbinders S4-136 Classic Hearts. Bee paper is by American Crafts.
Creating envelope card you will need and envelope board. Susan's video can be found here. The only thing I did different was I only did 1 layer of dimensional tape then added Ginkgo added another dimensional strip over the first added Lemon Verbena added 3rd piece of dimensional tape then added flowers.
Below are the number of each flower I used and Susan's YouTube link for creating each flower..
3 Lily of the Valley video
4 Forget Me Not video
3 Daffodils video
2 Bee Blossom video
Having all the links right here will save you having to search for each one on YouTube.
I did give my friend a second option for the card which is pictured below but she chose the one above.
I do hope that you have been inspired today to go back and use some of Susan's older dies to make your own spring bouquet in a 3D Envelope Easel Card.
Thanks for stopping by today and until next time - Happy creating!
Christine
