Parasol & Asters Survivor
Hello my crafty friends!
As we all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for the last several years I have tried to do at least 2-3 cards for survivors. I like to let them know that they haven't been forgotten just because they have survived. This is my first for this year and I want to get a couple more done before end of month. Time has gotten away from this year. GO GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS PLEASE!!!
The card base is 5" X 7" white 100# cardstock. First mat is silver mirrored cardstock cut 4-3/4" X 6-3/4" adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue. Second mat is pink cardstock cut 4-1/2" X 6-1/2" adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue. The next mat is white cardstock cut 4-1/4" X 6-1/4" then embossed and adhered to card front using Bearly Art Glue.
Spellbinders Susan's Garden Parasol S5-610 from the new release Birds & Bees was cut from black cardstock and embossed. Pink ribbons were cut from Cricut and adhered to Parasol randomly. Susan has a YouTube for creating the Parasol which you can find here
Using the Aster Die S1-128 from the new Birds & Bees Collection I cut 8 from Susan's Specialty Paper colored then shaped using Susan's Deluxe Tool Kit. Susan has a YouTube video on how to create these sweet flowers which can be found here
From the Victorian Garden Collection I used the Ginkgo from Victorian Foliage S4-1278 cut colored and shaped. You can find Susan's YouTube video here
Starting with the Ginkgo I built my bouquet in the parasol using Kids Choice Glue.
I stamped sentiment with black in on white cardstock then matted with black cardstock adhered to card front using dimensional tape.
I really hope that this has inspired you to make your own card - and get that mammogram!!!
Thanks for stopping by and until next time happy creating!
Christine
