Basket of Paperwhites

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I have a slimline card for you and will say right up front I wish I had put basket at the bottom of the card as I normally would but was trying to mix things up a bit.

I created  card using Spellbinders Susan's Garden  S4-1364 Paperwhites from Winters Grace Collection along with S4-1115 Gathering Basket from Holiday Collection.   Spellbinders S6-186 Fluted Classic Slimline dies were used to cut frame.  Spellbinders / Simon Hurley E3D-080 Woven 3D Embossing Folder was used on the basket to emphasize the basket weave.  Spellbinders S4-201 (small) and S4-202 (large) Deckled Rectangle dies were used for sentiment.

Card base is 4" X 9" and designer paper was cut 3-1/4" X 7-3/4" adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  Using the 3 largest dies from the  Fluted Classic Slimline Die Set a frame was cut from green cardstock.  Bearly Art Glue was used to adhere the frame over the designer paper.

Gathering Basket die set was used to cut 2 baskets from  brown cardstock which were adhered together using Bearly Art Glue then embossed with Simon Hurley's 3D Woven Embossing Folder.  Dark brown Rub On was used to highlight areas of the basket.  I used my fingers to manipulate the basket so it had some dimension.  Large dimensional dots (I stacked 3 on top of each other as they were thin) placed in center back of basket then used Kids Choice Glue around the very edges of basket leaving the opening free of glue.  I centered the basket on the card and held edges down with some heavy magnets.

Using Susan's Garden Specialty Paper was used to cut 9 Paperwhite flowers and Watercolor Paper was used for leaves and stems. Olo Alcohol Markers were used to color and Susan's Garden Deluxe Tool Kit used to shape everything.  Susan's YouTube video can be found here.

Using Kids Choice Glue I added my bouquet to the basket.  Sentiment (Close to My Heart Stamp) was stamped on white cardstock using black ink then die cut with deckled edge and matted with a larger deckled piece cut from black cardstock.  They were adhered together using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  Dimensional tape was used for adhering sentiment to card under basket.

As always I do hope that I have inspired you to make your own slimline card.

Thanks for stopping by today and until next time - Happy Creating!
