Jinks valentine2

Hello my crafty friends,

Welcome to my blog. It has been a while since I posted I am working on some new flowers which I will be posting soon but until then  I have a quick Valentine I have made for my dear friend’s grandson who is 3 and yes it is another Square Spinner Pop Up I just can’t help myself.

Along with Karen Burniston’s Square Spinner Pop Up set I have used one her new releases the Border Blends – Argyle and Jinks the Monkey which is an old die set that is no longer available.

I show the back of the card in this video – sometimes things happen when you forget to put cover back on ink pad.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time – Happy Crafting !

Merry Christmas From Buster

Welcome my crafty friends,

Today I have another Spinner Square Pop Up card for you.  This card is so much fun I just can’t help myself.  Funny thing is I bought this Karen Burniston Die Set to make an altogether different card which I have not made yet as I have been having so much fun making these cards.  I believe that this is going to be one of those dies I will get my money’s worth out of it.  I did not do a tutorial as it would basically be same as the chicken card I previously posted.  Buster the dog is another old die of Karen Burniston’s which has been discontinued but I am sure you can find another dog die.  Hope you enjoy this card.

Thanks for stopping by today and until next time – Happy Crafting!

Brownie the Cow Pop Up

Hello My Crafty Friends,

Just a quick post of latest card I created.  I have been having a blast using Karen Burniston’s Spinner Square Pop Up die set.  There are so many possibilities for this set.  Tonight I have created barn with Brownie the Cow inside for our grandson who milks cows nights after school and weekends.  Besides the Spinner die set I have used a couple of old Karen Burniston dies that have been discontinued.

Hope you enjoy this card I have been anxious to do it since I did the chicken card for his sister.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time – Happy Crafting!

Cheepers the Chicken Birthday Card

cheepers the chickencheepers the chicken 2

Welcome My Crafty Friends,

Today I have a card that I did for our granddaughter’s birthday.  They have been raising chickens for a long time so I thought it would be fun to do a chicken card for her.

My card uses Karen Burniston’s Square Spinner Pop Up die set along with a couple of her discontinued dies Cheeper the Chicken and the Chicken Wire die.  Here is how I created the card.

Step 1  Form card base from white Soft Finish Cardstock 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″

Step 2  Cut 3 pcs. of patterned paper 4″ X 5-1/4″ (ModaScrap – Wood Effects used here) .  Adhere 1 to card front ( NOTE: When and if you add patterned paper to the front you will need to run through machine several times with another piece of cardstock laid over it due to thickness) 1 to the right side inside card using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  The third piece is to be adhered to left side just on left edge of card base so chicken wire can be added after cutting opening.

Step 3  Die cut Chicken Wire from silver cardstock (Karen’s die is discontinued but Darice and Spellbinders has similar dies).

Note:  Karen Burniston has assembly video for this die which you can find here

Step 4  Watch Karen’s video for how to cut window, create mechanism, etc.

Step 5  Die cut a chicken or any animal you wish (Karen Burniston’s Cheepers used here but is discontinued).  Add animal to large square inside card so it shows through window on front of card using Kids Choice Glue.  Little props were cut from more of Karen’s discontinued props such as hay, basket and eggs (sorry) but you can probably improvise.

Step 6  Add basket and eggs to spin out arm using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 7  Stamp sentiment on white cardstock with black ink.  Using dimensional squares add sentiment to card front.

Step 8  From black cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back die cut Happy Birthday using Karen Burniston’s Word Set 2 and cut numbers using Joset’s Blackboard Numbers.

I do hope you have enjoyed my little tutorial to day and that it has inspired you to make your own Spinner Square Pop Up card there are so many possibilities with this die set.

Until next time – Happy Crafting!

Christine

Bat Whisperer 80th Birthday

Welcome my crafty friends I am here today with a card I created for a fellow employee celebrating his 80th birthday.  Through the years he has on several occasions helped round up a bat or two.

Card was created using Karen Burnison’s Spinner Square Pop Up die along with an old die of Karen’s from another company Midnight the Bat.  Karen has wonderful Youtube videos that really are great guidance to build your cards – this was a fun card to create.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Until next time – Happy Crafting!

Molly’s Graduation

Welcome to my blog glad you stopped by.

Today I have just a quick post to honor our granddaughter (our 1st grandchild) as she closes one chapter and enters the next chapter of her life.  Such an emotional time as I can not believe the little girl that won our hearts from day one has graduated high school and will be going off to college in the fall.  Meme’ and Pepe’ are so proud of her and glad that we could be part of it and to get her to pose for a few pictures with us.

Her card was made using Karen Burniston’s Tag Book Pop-up die along with a few Cricut cutouts.

Until Next Time – Happy Crafting and remember –
