Daisy Mums in a Shadowbox

Welcome My Crafty Friends,

Today I have my 5th and final Breast Cancer Survivor card for this year. I am happy and sad all at the same time. I am so thankful they have survived and I have them people to send cards to but sad that they have had to endure this terrible disease. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you have not had your mammogram yet make that appointment today it can save your life!

Today my card is another shadowbox card which is so easy and fun to create. Susan’s Autumn Flora Button & Daisy Mum set was used along with Foliage & Ladybug set.

To create the shadowbox I went by Susan’s Facebook Live on Susan’s Garden Club which you can find here. Once my Shadowbox was completed I added to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Next I created 3 stems of Nandina and 2 stems of Eucalyptus which I arranged inside shadowbox attaching with Kids Choice Glue.

I cut 3 Daisy Mums from white cardstock and colored centers with Copic RV52. Leaves were cut from green cardstock then shaded and shaped. Susan has a YouTube video for creating the Daisy Mums which you can find here. Mums were added to center of shadowbox using Kids Choice Glue.

Thanks for stopping by today I hope that I have given you some inspiration to create.

Pink & White Poppies

Welcome My Crafty Friends,

My card today is another card for a Breast Cancer Survivor. PLEASE if you haven’t gotten your mammogram yet this year get it as it could save your life!

Today I have used Susan’s Autumn Flora – Oriental Poppy along with Spellbinders Lace Hearts.

My card base is a 6″ X 6″ created from white cardstock. Pink cardstock was cut 5-3/4″ X 5-3/4″ adhered to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

White cardstock was cut 5-1/2″ X 5-1/2 Spellbinders Lace Hearts was used to cut design in cardstock. I found the center of the piece then placed die on cardstock and cut. Once I got design cut I erased pencil marks. See pictures below.

Once design was cut Clear Double Sided Adhesive was used to adhere to card front.

From white cardstock 5 poppies and 2 buds were cut using Autumn Flora Oriental Poppy. 3 Poppies were colored with Copic Markers 2 were left white. they were shaped and assembled. Susan has a YouTube video for this which you can find here.

Autumn Flora Foliage & Lady Bug set was used to cut Nandina, Eucalyptus and Ladybug. See Susan’s YouTube for this here.

From white cardstock 4 corners were cut using Spellbinders Lace Hearts Die Set. Corners were attached using Kids Choice Glue. Note: had I thought ahead I would have added Clear Double Sided Adhesive to back of cardstock before cutting eliminating the use of liquid glue.

Poppies and leaves were added to card from using Kids Choice Glue.

Well as always I do hope I have inspired you to create thank you for stopping by.

Poppies for a Survivor

Welcome My Crafty Friends,

My card today is my second survivor card for Breast Cancer Awareness 2020. For this card I used Susan’s Oriental Poppy and Foliage & Ladybug sets from her Autumn Flora Collection along with Becca Feeken’s Adoria Square Shadowbox Frame set.

Card is 6″ X 6″ – cut white heavy cardstock 12″ X 6″ score at 6″ fold on score line. Cut pink cardstock 5-3/4″ square attach to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

From white cardstock I cut 3 largest dies from Adoria Square Shadowbox Frame set. Art Glitter Glue Dries Clear as well as Clear Double Sided Adhesive were used to adhere to front of card. From same set the smallest plain square die was used to cut pieces of white cardstock for the sentiment. Using black ink sentiment was stamped on square it was then adhered to card front center using dimensional dots.

Three Oriental Poppies plus 1 bud were cut from white cardstock and colored using RV21 Copic marker. Susan has a YouTube video for creating the poppies you can find it here.

Rosemary branches were cut from green cardstock shaded with green ink and shaped using leaf pad and tool. I made 6 stems. Using die for tiny flowers I cut it twice from white cardstock shaped with small ball tool.

Kids Choice Glue was used to build arrangement on card front starting with laying down Rosemary then adding Poppies and small white flowers. Final addition is the Ladybugs which I coated with Nuvo Crystal Glaze to make them shine.

Survivor Button Mum

Welcome My Crafty Friends,

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so PLEASE if you haven’t had your mammogram yet schedule it today! A few years ago I started making a couple of cards each October to send to different survivors (not necessarily breast cancer but cancer survivors) so today I have my first one for October 2020.

For my card I used Susan’s Garden Club Autumn Flora Button & Daisy Mum set and Foliage & Ladybug set along with one of Becca Feeken’s die sets. My sentiment is from a stamp set I bought several years ago it is a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and is still available from ellenhutson.com .

Card base is 6″x6″ created from white cardstock. Pink cardstock was cut 5-3/4″ square then embossed. Clear Double Sided Adhesive was used to adhere to card front.

Berry Branch from Foliage & Ladybug set was cut twice from green cardstock then adhered together with Kids Choice Glue. Shaded with a little green ink and shaped a little with ball tool so it wasn’t totally flat. White Nuvo Crystal Drops were used to make white berries set aside to dry completely.

Eucalyptus stems from Foliage & Ladybug die set were cut from green cardstock shaded and shaped.

1 Button Mum was cut from white cardstock then colored with Copic marker (I really don’t remember which pink ) shaped and assembled using Kids Choice Glue. Leaves were cut from green cardstock shaded and shaped.

From white cardstock I cut Becca Feeken’s Lisette Oval Shadowbox Frame by taping them all but center piece together and cut all at once. Art Glitter Glue Dries Clear was used to attach pieces to card front all but the center oval. My sentiment was stamped with black ink then I used dimensional dots to adhere in center.

Kids Choice Glue was used to adhere the Eucalyptus, Berry Branch, Button Mum and Ladybug.

I do hope that my creation has inspired you to create a card and send it to someone that might just need a little encouragement.

Daisy Mum in a Bottle

Hello My Crafty Friends,

Today I have a card that was inspired by a picture I saw on Facebook. This is the inspiration picture.

Inspiration Picture

My card is 5″ X 6-1/4″ created from white cardstock cut 10″ X 6-1/4″ scored at 5″.

The bittersweet is something I like to make ahead so the Nuvo Drops have time to dry well. Susan has how to video on the berries here

The brown bottle was created using Shrink Film. First I cut bottle on Cricut at 8″ then traced onto Shrink Film then colored using a brown Copic Marker. Using Heat Tool I shrunk it down it measures 3-1/2″.

Pattern paper was cut 4-1/2″ X 5-7/8″ then adhered to card front with clear Double Sided Adhesive.

The largest die in the Petite Picot Rectangle set was used along with the next to the largest A2 Matting Basic A die set to create a frame. I set the matting die inside the Picot Rectangle taped together and cut from white cardstock. Frame was adhered over pattern paper using Art Glitter Glue Dries Clear.

I cut 1 Daisy Mum from white cardstock the tiny center flowers were cut from yellow cardstock and leaves were cut from green cardstock. Susan has a YouTube video for the Daisy Mum found here.

For stem I freehanded one from green cardstock then adhered to back of bottle with a little Kids Choice Glue then a bit more glue used to attach bottle to card front.

Using Kids Choice Glue flower, bittersweet and leaves were added.

Lady bug was cut, colored and shaped then added to leaf. Nuvo Crystal Glaze was used to make it shine.

One Of Susan’s New Autumn Quotes was used for sentiment stamped in black then die cut.

Thank you for stopping by I do hope that this has inspired you to create!

Framed Coreopsis

Welcome my crafty friends,

Today I have another card for you featuring Spellbinders Susan’s Autumn Flora Coreopsis along with foliage ( foliage with a twist it is similar to a weed that grows here in Maine). My card mats are from Spellbinders APG series Petite Picot Squares.

Here is how I created my 6″ x 6″ card.

Step 1 I created the beaded part using Styrofoam beads separated into 4 containers. Added a few drops of Distress Oxide Reinker in each (Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Aged Mahogany and Peeled Paint) mix each one to distribute color. Next I mixed beads together in another cup. I will tell you maybe alcohol reinker may way work better as the Distress Oxide do not dry well and tend to muddy the colors.

Step 2 Using 4″ piece of flower wire wrapped with floral tape I rolled top 1″ – 1-1/4″ of wire in Kids Choice Glue then dipped into colored beads and manipulate with your fingers to get shape. Heat gun was used very carefully to dry a little then more glue was used by brush then more beads were added until I had shape I wanted.

Step 3 Used white cardstock to cut 3 Coreopsis. Copic markers were used to color. Susan has a YouTube video for creating which can be found here.

Step 4 From green cardstock 2 Nandina Branches were cut as well as 2 Rosemary branches. They were shaded and shaped. Susan has a YouTube video for Her Foliage & Ladybug die set which can be found here.

This is the inspiration

Step 5 From white cardstock I cut 1 of largest Spellbinder Petite Pico Squares then using die for next size down I placed a square die inside taped together and cut a frame from white cardstock.

Step 6 On white 6″ X 6″ card base I used Clear Double Sided Adhesive to attach largest square. Next I used narrow dimensional tape strips added to back of frame adhering over square as diamond shape.

Step 7 Kids Choice Glue was used to add foliage and flowers.

Step 8 Add Ladybug.

I do hope you have enjoyed my post and that it has inspired you to create!

Encircled Coreopsis

Hello My Crafty Friends,

Today I have a card I created using some of Susan’s Autumn Flora Collection. I am using Coreopsis and Foliage along with Spellbinders APG Picot Petite Circles.

Card Base 6″ X 6″ tent fold

Colored cardstock cut 5-3/4″ X 5-3/4″ adhered to card front with Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Using Nestabilites Standard Circles I cut 2 frames by taping 2 circle dies togetherand adhered together using Art Glitter Glue Dries Clear. From white cardstock I created another frame using Picot Petite die and Standard Circles which I adhered to the basic frames using glue. Added narrow dimensional strips to back then adhered to card front.

From green cardstock I cut 2 berry branches using the die from the Foliage die set (I like to cut twice to give stability) adhere one on top of other. Use green ink to shade. Added white berries using white Nuvo Drops. I like to do my berry branches in the very beginning so they have time to dry while I am creating the rest of the card. Susan has a YouTube video demo which you can find here I also cut 2 Nadena branches from green cardstock then shaded and shaped.

From white cardstock I cut 3 Coreopsis then used Copic markers to color. Susan has a YouTube video for the Coreopsis which can be found here

Using Kids Choice Glue I created my bouquet inside circle on card front. I first put down the Nadena cut Berry Branches apart added them next to Nadena, Coreopsis were added next (I did build right on card as Susan does) lastly I added the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today – I hope that my card has been inspirational to you and you will go create.

Links have been added below for products I have used if you click on any picture it will take you to LinkDeli then you just click on that picture again and it will take you to Merchant. Button Mums and Autumn Hydrangea

Welcome my crafty friends hope you are all staying safe.

Today I have a card I designed using Susan’s brand new release Autumn Flora Button Mums and Autumn Hydrangea through Spellbinders. Another fantastic release from Susan I just love working with her dies.

My card today is a 6″ X 6″ tent fold created from white cardstock.

Patterned paper from my stash was used for background cut 5-3/4″ X 5-3/4″ adhered to card front using clear double sided adhesive.

Amazing Paper Grace Picot Petite Circle was cut from white cardstock using largest die in set. Circled was adhered to card front using clear double sided adhesive.

Two Button Mums were cut from white cardstock then colored with Copic Markers then shaped and assembled. I used Susan’s old tools to shape my flowers but she has great new set coming out it should be available by January 2021.

Off white cardstock and Distress Oxide Inks were used to color florets. I picked 3 or 4 colors that I wanted in my hydrangea and smeared in various areas on the cardstock both front and back leaving areas here and there off white. Florets were then die cut from this paper several times (I would rather have left over than to run out) then shaped and assembled. Susan is doing YouTube videos for each die set in the release her hydrangea video is here

Foliage & Ladybug die set was used to make the Berry Branch and and Eucalyptus. I cut 2 Berry Branches from green cardstock adhere them together with Art Glitter Glue. Green ink was used to shade then Nuvo Drops Plum Pudding was used to make berries which I put on both sides so I add berries to one side set aside to dry then do the other side. I always do my berries branches first so they will have time to dry well. Lady bug was cut from white cardstock colored with red Copic Marker black head, dots added with fine point pen and shaped with medium ball stylus. Two Eucalyptus branches were cut from green cardstock shaded with green ink and a bit of rusty red PanPastels was added to base of leaves I then shaped the leaves using a ball stylus.

Beacons Kids Choice Glue was used to add everything to card front starting with Berry Branch, Eucalyptus, Hydrangea, Mums, leaves and of course the Ladybug.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today I do hope it has inspired you to create. Until next time Happy Crafting!
