Hello my crafty friends welcome to my blog!

Today I have an anniversary card which I made for my hubby to celebrate our 49th anniversary.   For this card I combined using dies as well as old school of stamping and fussy cutting for my main image.

Here is how it was created.

Step 1  From white Soft Finish Cardstock cut heart using Els van de Burgt Studio Stitched Hearts – 4th largest die.  Using Susan’s Garden Notes Earth & Sky Stencil and PanPastels Set 2 blue for sky green for grass.

Step 2  Using black ink stamped couple on bench twice onto white Soft Finish Cardstock.  Using alcohol markers color both images then fussy cut both.  Kids Choice Glue adhere 1 image to heart.

Step 3  Using clear Nuvo Crystal Drops add raindrops to heart and umbrella of second image.  Set aside to dry.

Step 4  Form 6″ X 6″ tent fold card base.  Emboss front of card with embossing folder of your choice.

Step 5  For inside of card cut white cardstock 5-3/4″ X 11-3/4″ score in half.  Using Garden Notes Earth & Sky Stencil along with Garden Notes PanPastels Set 2 add clouds and grass.

Step 6  Cut Pop Up in center lining up in center fold using largest die in Elizabeth Craft Designs General Pop Up die set.  Work folds in pop ups.  Add Clear Double Sided Adhesive to back staying away from the pop ups.  Adhere to inside of card lining up the creases and edges.  NOTE:  work 1 side at a time removing protective covering from adhesive.

Step 7  From black cardstock cut 2 ( 1) piece with Clear Double Sided Adhesive and (1) without adhesive Happy Anniversary from Suzanne Cannon Happy Anniversary die set.  Adhere one with adhesive on back to top of one without adhesive.  Cut very narrow strips of clear plastic adhere to back of words using Kids Choice Glue on anniversary add narrow plastic vertical strip back side centered (this will give you something to use to adhere to pop up) adhere to front pop up using Kids Choice Glue.  Adhere happy using Kids Choice Glue to top pop up.

Step 8  Cut 2 –  49th from black cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back adhere one on top of other then adhere to card at base of pop up.

Step 9  Once raindrops are dry on second image add dimensional tape to back adhere directly over first image on heart.

Step 10  Adhere heart to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 11  Using black ink stamp sentiment on 3/4″ X 1-3/4″ white Soft Finish Cardstock then adhere  to black cardstock cut 1″ X 2″.  Using dimensional tape on back adhere to lower right of card front.

Hope you have enjoyed my tutorial today.  For any of the Elizabeth Craft Designs supplies used for this card just click on any picture it will take you directly to site.

Life’s A Picnic

Welcome to my blog my crafty friends!

Today on my blog I have a really quick and fun card.  Recently I was introduced to the Ultimate Glitter Napkin Technique.  Well once you start it is hard to stop you certainly look at napkins in a whole different way.

For my card today I have used Joset Designs Backyard BBQ, Joset Designs Summer Fun Sentiments, ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners and Garden Notes Stitched Fitted Frame It- Square sets.

Here is how card was created.

Step 1  Form 6′ X 6″ card base.

Step 2  Cut True Green Soft Finish Cardstock 5-3/4″ X 5-3/4″. Using 6th largest die from Garden Note Stitched Fitted Frames – Squares lay on cardstock so it will cut a diamond shape die cut.

Step 3  Napkin Technique:   Choose napkin of your choice separate the top printed layer from the other layer / layers (you can discard these).  Cut piece of white cardstock just slightly smaller than green cardstock.  Add Clear Double Sided Adhesive to the top.  Add napkin by slowly peeling away protective covering from adhesive little at a time lay napkin on adhesive little at a time avoiding wrinkles ( I did get a wrinkle so be careful).  Press napkin side into Versamark ink making sure completely covered.  Sprinkle Glitter Embossing Powder over entire piece heat set with your heat gun.  (YouTube has a video for this technique you can find it here.)

Step 4  Add Clear Double Sided Adhesive around outer edges of all 4 sides on front of napkin piece.  Line up opening of green cardstock over napkin adhere.

Step 5  Adhere to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 6  Cut Stitched Fishtail Banners 1 small from white or off white cardstock 1 next to smallest from coordinating cardstock.  On smaller white one using black ink stamp Life’s a picnic using stamp from Joset Designs Summer Fun Sentiments.  Adhere together using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.  Add to card front using dimensional tape.

Step 7  Cut 2 watermelon slices from Joset Designs Backyard Barbeque die set using white Soft Finish Cardstock.  Color with Copic markers.  Add to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive and dimensional tape to pop 1 slice.

Hope you have enjoyed this quick tutorial.  Be sure to try this napkin technique it is fun and with all the different napkins out there the sky is the limit.  Wish the picture would show the glitter picture just does not do it justice.  Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Snowflakes

snowflakesWelcome my crafty friends!

Today my post is a quick card I created using some of Joset Designs newly released dies Snowflakes, Snowflake Border and Words 5 Winter Wishes.

Here is how the card was created.

Step 1  Form 6″ X 6″ card base.

Step 2  Cut 6″ X 6″ white Soft Finish Cardstock add Clear Double Sided Adhesive to top.  Add Silk Microfine Glitter – Sea Glass to adhesive burnish in with fingers.

Step 3  Die cut bottom edge of card front using Joset Designs newest release Snowflake Border.

Step 4  Using Joset Designs new release Snowflakes die cut 2 from white Soft Finish Cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on front.  Add Silk Microfine Glitter – Cool Diamond to adhesive burnish in with fingers.  Adhere to card front using Kids Choice Glue on back center of each snowflake.  Add pearls to center of each snowflake.  (I use a bit of Kids Choice Glue to pearls even if they have adhesive on back because of the glitter)

Step 5  Cut black cardstock 2″ X 4″ add Clear Double Sided Adhesive to front cover adhesive with black Silk Microfine Glitter burnish in with fingers.  From Joset Designs new release die set Words 5 Winter Wishes cut Let It Snow.  Adhere to card front using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 6  Add Clear Double Sided Adhesive to bottom 1-1/2″ of inside card.  Add Silk Microfine Glitter – Cool Diamond burnish in with fingers.  This was done so to give the snowflake border glittery effect through the cutouts the picture does not show it but it does look good.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today hope you have a go at it.  For any of the Elizabeth Craft Designs products I used today just click on any picture below it will take you directly to site.

Until next time – Happy Crafting!

welcomenorthpole1

welcomenorthpole2

Hello, welcome to my blog.

Today is a new challenge for Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team.  This month the Design Team Challenge is Christmas Fun With Character Dies which is a brand new release by Joset Designs.  There are so many cute dies and I have chosen to use the Penguin and Igloo die sets.  Be sure to check out all the other Design Team creations on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and at the same time answer the question for a chance to win.

Here is how my card was made.

Step 1  Form 6″ X 6″ gate fold card from white card stock by cutting cardstock 6″ X 12″ scoring at 3″ from each end fold on score lines.  Note: by measuring in from each end your center comes together more evenly.

Step 2  From white Soft Finish Cardstock cut 2 pieces each 2-3/4″ X 5-3/4″.  Using embossing folder of your choice (snowflakes used here) emboss pieces.  Adhere to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 3  From white Soft Finish Cardstock die cut Igloo and ice (ice cut twice trim away so you only have top) and the sign.   Using light blue ink highlight edges of igloo and ice.  Adhere the trimmed piece of ice to top of whole piece which gives it more dimension.  Adhere the igloo overlay to the igloo using Kids Choice Glue adhere to the ice using more Kids Choice Glue.  Lay onto card front to determine where you want it adhere to right side of card front only making sure to keep adhesive just on left side use Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 4 Cut 1 complete Penguin and 1 wing and set of feet.  Cut wing so it looks like bottom of penguin using Kids Choice Glue adhere feet to penguin bottom then adhere to entrance to igloo using Kids Choice Glue.  Using Kids Choice Glue assemble the complete penguin to use inside of card.

Inside of card:

Step 5  Cut blue cardstock that has white core 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″ emboss with snow flake embossing folder then sand lightly to highlight the snowflakes.  If you do not have the white core card stock you can use snowflake patterned paper cut to these dimensions.  Adhere to card center using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 6  Using snow mound die from Reindeer die set cut 2 mounds from white Soft Finish Cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on top.  Using Silk Microfine Glitter – Cool Diamond sprinkle over adhesive on snow mounds tap off extra burnish in with fingers. Using Clear Double Sided Adhesive adhere mounds to bottom of blue cardstock.

Step 7  Cut 3 trees from green cardstock using die from Reindeer die set.  Using embossing fold emboss trees using embossing folder of your choice.  Using green Distress Ink add shading to trees.  Adhere trees to card using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 8  Add Penguin using Kids Choice Glue on the back of very bottom.

Step 9  Using brown Distress Ink ink up sign and post.  Stamp sentiment on sign using black ink and Joset Designs Cute Winter Sentiments stamp set.  Adhere to penguin’s hand using a little Kids Choice Glue.

Step 10  Using black ink stamp Merry Christmas from Joset Designs Classic Sentiments stamp set.
