Watering Can With Lupines

Watering Can with Lupines

Hello My Crafty Friends,

Well the day is finally here for new release of Susan’s Notes dies at Elizabeth Craft Designs and my card today and I am so excited to share with you my card using 2 of the new ones the Watering Can and the Lupine.  Was so excited over the watering can as I love the old ones and collect them.

Here is how I created my card.

Step 1  Create 5″ X 7″ card base from 110# white Soft Finish Cardstock.  Cut 85# white Soft Finish Cardstock 5″ X 7″ using next to largest Garden Notes Frame It – Stitched Oval cut oval in center.  Emboss  Add either patterned paper or a background you have made to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive making sure it is larger than the oval.  Adhere piece with oval cut out to card front.

Step 2  From white Soft Finish Cardstock which has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back cut 2 Garden Notes Watering Cans.  Adhere 1 on top of the other.  Using alcohol markers color can then add Metallic Rub Ons.  Remove protective paper from back add a couple of pop dots center of the back then adhere to card front leaving top opening open.

Step 3  Using new Garden Notes Lupines cut 3 Lupines from white Soft Finish Cardstock or if you don’t like to color use color cardstock of your choice.  If cut from white cardstock color with alcohol markers shape using Susan’s Garden Notes Tool Kit.  Use Kids Choice Glue to build your flowers.

Step 4  Die cut 3-4 branches of Garden Notes Forsythia from white Soft Finish Cardstock to color with alcohol markers or from colored cardstock.  Again if cut from white cardstock color using alcohol markers, shape with Susan’s Tool Kit and build flowers using Kids Choice Glue.

NOTE:  For leaves and branches I use colored cardstock otherwise I use white Soft Finish Cardstock and color with Copic Markers.

Step 5  Using black in stamp sentiment on white Soft Finish Cardstock then die cut.  Ink edges.  Using dimensional tape adhere to card front.

Step 6  Using Kids Choice Glue add your flowers in top of watering can add leaves.

I do hope you have enjoyed my tutorial today and it has inspired you.  All the Elizabeth Craft Designs products used today are linked below just click on anyone of them and it will take you directly to their site.  I will also link the rest of the release as well.

Susan’s 2019 Spring Release

Spring Blossoms

Spring Blossoms

Welcome My Crafty Friends,

Here in Maine it is still snowy and very cold I for one am dreaming of Spring and warmer days that bring spring flowers,  I see all these pictures of flowers on Facebook which has inspired my card today.   Here is my inspiration picture for my card.

Image may contain: flower and plant

Here is how I created my card.

Step 1  Form 6X6  card base from white Soft Finish Cardstock.  Cut 5-3/4 X 5-3/4 patterned paper (Through the Lens – Woods used here) adhere to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Step 2 From Clear Sticker Paper cut 2 canning jars using Susan’s Garden Canning Jar & Lid set.  Using blue alcohol marker color front of one jar adhere second jar on top of colored.

Step 3  Create flowers approximately 15 cutting from 85# white Soft Finish Cardstock using Garden Notes Flowering Trees (Susan Garden Cherry Blossoms actually used here but is sold out).  Cut 1 of the 3 petal and 2 of the 2 petal for each flower along with 1 stamen.  Cut bunch of leaves from green cardstock  and stems from white cardstock then color with alcohol markers or can cut from brown cardstock.  I double up stems to give more dimension.

Step 4  remove protective paper on back of jar insert stems down top of jar adhere to back of jar.  I cut some branches apart so as to manipulate to where I wanted them.  Add couple pop dots to back of stems in center adhere jar to left side of card.

Step 5  Adhere flowers and leaves to stems using Kids Choice Glue.

Step 6  Using Els Van de Burgt Studio Stitched Ovals cut smallest oval from white Soft Finish Cardstock.

Step 7  Using black ink stamp oval with sentiment.  Susan’s Garden Take Time stamp used here but it is sold out.    Adhere to right side of card.

I do hope you have enjoyed my card today and will make your own.  For any of the Elizabeth Craft Designs products I used I have linked them below just click on any picture it will take you directly to their site.

Hello My Crafty Friends,

Today I have another card that I created for my sweet young co-worker that left for a new job.  Her and her hubby recently purchased a new home so I wanted to do something to celebrate that great event.  For this card I have used Karen Burniston’s House & Fence Pop Up as well as an old Pop It Ups All Seasons Tree Die set and dog is from Susan’s Garden CountryScapes – Critters 5 and daffodils from Garden Edges Daffodil.  The Congrats is Suzanne Cannon – A Way With Words stamped sentiment is Close to My Heart Happy for You set.

Another fun card hope you enjoy!

Good Luck

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a card that I created for a sweet co-worker who has taken another job.  I chose to use Karen Burniston’s Circle Tag Pop Up die set for my card also using the Garden Charms.  Fun card to create but wish I had used the same color for card base as I did on the Pop Up that white just seems to jump out at me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Rudy the Reindeer

Wk 7 Reindeer 1Wk 7 Reindeer 2

Hello my crafty friends welcome to my blog!

Today I am posting a card I created for my Christmas Card Challenge group.  This is week 7 of the challenge and the theme this week it is reindeer.  My card was created using Karen Burniston’s new Rockin’ Rectangle Pop Up, Border Blends – Argyle along with an old die of her’s Rudy the Reindeer.  My sentiment was stamped using ECD Classic Christmas Sentiments clear stamps the tree is Stampin Up In The Woods Framelits Dies.

Oh what fun I had creating this card this will be another very versatile die set like the  Square  Spinner Pop Up that I have been making so many cards with.

If you are like me and can’t buy all Karen’s dies (Oh how I wish I could) I really believe the Square Spinner Pop Up and the Rockin’ Rectangle Pop Up will give you the biggest bang for your buck!

Thanks for stopping by today – soon I will be posting some more of my flower cards.

Until next time – Happy Crafting!
