So Sorry Bouquet

So Sorry Bouquet

Hello My Crafty Friends,

Sadly this week Corona 19 Virus took the life of a family member of one of our members of our online  paper garden club so members are making sympathy cards and posting them in our group – this is mine.

For my card I have used Susan’s Garden Notes Watering Can, Tulips, Forget Me Notes and Daffodil / Narcissus die sets as well as Frame It – Circles.

Card base is 6″ X 6″ created from green cardstock.  White cardstock was cut 5-3/4″ square then circle was cut in upper left corner.  Piece was then embossed.  Background piece was attached behind circle opening then piece was attached to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive.

Watering Can was cut twice once from black cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back and once from decorative paper also with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back then adhered together.  Dimensional dots added to back in center then add to card front.

Flowers were all cut from White Soft Finish Cardstock 90# they were colored with Copic Alcohol Markers leaves cut from green cardstock.  flowers shaded and shaped then put together using Kids Choice Glue.  Arranged in opening of watering can when happy with arrangement adhered with Kids Choice Glue.

Stamped sentiment then matted with black cardstock added to card front using dimensional tape.

Forget Me Not

IMG_0220.JPGForget Me NotHello My Crafty Friends,

Warm weather has finally arrived here in Maine and it sure feels great.  I have been getting all my pots, window boxes, bicycle, wagon washtubs etc filled with lots of annuals now to keep everything watered.

The Forget Me Nots are in bloom and how pretty they are here in Maine the spring flowers are really beautiful.  Today my card has the Forget Me Nots along with the Pom Pom Dahlia and the Ostrich Fern. The Ostrich Fern, which are now starting to unfurl, are a spring time treat around here. When it first comes up and is still tightly coiled they are “Fiddleheads”. Many people start harvesting them and selling them roadside people steam them are said to be quite tasty and loved by many (not me). I don’t mind harvesting if the black flies are not too bad.

My card is a 5″ X 7″ A dot embossing folder was on front.

Beccka Feeken’s die set Nobel Chatelaine Etched was used to cut decorative pieces a solid green for backing and white overlay adhered together.  Clear dimensional tape was used to attach to card front.

Susan’s Garden Notes Forget Me Nots were die cut several times from White Soft Finish Cardstock then colored with alcohol markers tiny centers were cut from yellow cardstock and the leaves and stems from green cardstock.  Kids Choice Glue was used to build flowers.

Susan’s Garden Notes Ostrich Fern was cut from green cardstock then shaped.

Susan’s Garden Club Pom Pom Dahlia  was cut from white Soft Finish Cardstock colored with alcohol markers and shaped leaves are cut from green cardstock.

Kids Choice Glue was used to adhere flowers to card front.  Ostrich Ferns were adhered first then Forget Me Nots, Pom Pom Dahlia, leaves and Lady Bug.

I do hope that you have enjoyed my card today and it has inspired you to create!

Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not

Hello My Crafty Friends,

Trying to stay busy during the stay at home and no power days I have created another card.  I leave the sentiment off now until I am ready to use the card something that took me a long time to do.  I tend to make cards that can be used for most any occasion so by leaving the sentiment off until I need a card it is very easy to add sentiment.

Here is how it was created.

Step 1  Created 6″ X 6″ card base from white cardstock.

Step 2  Cut piece of white cardstock 5-3/4″ square  cut circle in upper left corner using Garden Notes Frame It Stitched Circle Dies then embossed using 8-1/2 x 11 honeycomb embossing folder.

Step 3  Background piece was something I took from my stash I had created using Distress Oxide either inks or sprays.  Used a larger circle to cut to fit behind opening.  Used Clear Double Sided Adhesive to attach background circle to back of opening then attaching square to card front.

Step 4  Susan’s Garden Notes Watering can was used for container.  Cut 2 of can itself from white cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back.  Adhere the 2 together.  Nuvo Crystal Glaze was used with stencil brush pouncing all over let it dry then Distress Oxide Faded Jeans was sponged on to give it that splatter ware look.  Crystal Glaze was then brushed over entire piece then allowed to dry.  Once dry removed protective paper from back added couple dimensional dots lower center attached to lower right of card front.

Step 5  Created a bunch of Garden Notes Forget Me Nots and a couple stems of Garden Notes Feverfew.  Used Kids Choice Glue to adhere flower stems to top of container.

Once again I hope it has been encouraging and inspirational.

Cut White Soft Finish Cardstock 5-1/2″ square then using next larger circle die cut into upper left corner emboss using embossing folder of your choice adhere to card front ling up over circle on blue paper.

Hello My Crafty Friend,

Step 3 Make a frame from white cardstock using 2 nested rectangles adhere over foiled piece using Nuvo Adhesive Tape Runner.

Step 4 Die cut 2 Susan’s Trevi Urns from white cardstock with adhesive on the back. Adhere one on top of the other. Color and shade. Shape a bit with your fingers add a couple pop dots on center lower back then adhere to lower center of card.
