Watering Can With Lupines

Watering Can with Lupines

Hello My Crafty Friends,

Well the day is finally here for new release of Susan’s Notes dies at Elizabeth Craft Designs and my card today and I am so excited to share with you my card using 2 of the new ones the Watering Can and the Lupine.  Was so excited over the watering can as I love the old ones and collect them.

Here is how I created my card.

Step 1  Create 5″ X 7″ card base from 110# white Soft Finish Cardstock.  Cut 85# white Soft Finish Cardstock 5″ X 7″ using next to largest Garden Notes Frame It – Stitched Oval cut oval in center.  Emboss  Add either patterned paper or a background you have made to card front using Clear Double Sided Adhesive making sure it is larger than the oval.  Adhere piece with oval cut out to card front.

Step 2  From white Soft Finish Cardstock which has Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back cut 2 Garden Notes Watering Cans.  Adhere 1 on top of the other.  Using alcohol markers color can then add Metallic Rub Ons.  Remove protective paper from back add a couple of pop dots center of the back then adhere to card front leaving top opening open.

Step 3  Using new Garden Notes Lupines cut 3 Lupines from white Soft Finish Cardstock or if you don’t like to color use color cardstock of your choice.  If cut from white cardstock color with alcohol markers shape using Susan’s Garden Notes Tool Kit.  Use Kids Choice Glue to build your flowers.

Step 4  Die cut 3-4 branches of Garden Notes Forsythia from white Soft Finish Cardstock to color with alcohol markers or from colored cardstock.  Again if cut from white cardstock color using alcohol markers, shape with Susan’s Tool Kit and build flowers using Kids Choice Glue.

NOTE:  For leaves and branches I use colored cardstock otherwise I use white Soft Finish Cardstock and color with Copic Markers.

Step 5  Using black in stamp sentiment on white Soft Finish Cardstock then die cut.  Ink edges.  Using dimensional tape adhere to card front.

Step 6  Using Kids Choice Glue add your flowers in top of watering can add leaves.

I do hope you have enjoyed my tutorial today and it has inspired you.  All the Elizabeth Craft Designs products used today are linked below just click on anyone of them and it will take you directly to their site.  I will also link the rest of the release as well.

Build A Snowman

Welcome to my blog today!  Krista Schnieder has a new Christmas release at Elizabeth Craft Designs some very cute  clear stamps and coordinating dies.  My card today features the new set Christmas Kids.

Here is how it was created.

Step 1  Form 6″ X 6″ card base.

Step 2  Cut white Soft Finish Cardstock 5-3/4″ square.  Using 2nd smallest die from Susan’s Garden Notes Stitched Frame It – Ovals cut oval approximately 1″ down from the top.  Dry emboss.

Step 3  Cut piece of patterned paper a little larger than opening (I just die cut a piece using next larger die).

Step 4  Using small piece of white Soft Finish Cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on top fit it to sit inside of oval then tear top edge to give it snow bank effect.  Remove protective paper at Cool Diamond Microfine Glitter burnish in with finger.

Step 5  Using Kids Choice Glue adhere snow to bottom of patterned paper then add glue all around the very outer edge adhere to back of 5-3/4″ square behind oval opening.

Step 6  Using white Soft Finish Cardstock stamp image using black ink (Momento used here).  Color images using alcohol markers then die cut using coordinating dies.  Adhere image inside of oval using Kids Choice Glue ( it sticks better to glitter than tape).

Step 7  From blue cardstock with Clear Double Sided Adhesive on back cut BRRRRR using Suzanne Cannon’s BRRRRR die set then cut 1 snowflake from blue cardstock without adhesive on back.  Adhere to card front under oval opening.  Add pop dot to back of snowflake adhere on top of snowflake on BRRRRR.  Using adhesive clear sparkles add to snowflake.

Do hope you have enjoyed this tutorial today and will make your own card.  Be sure to visit Elizabeth Craft Designs for all the new Krista Schnieder’s new releases along with new release from Susan Tierney-Cockburn’s Garden Notes and Suzanne Cannon’s A Way With Words.  Below you will find links to all the Elizabeth Craft Designs products used just click on any picture which will take you to their site.
