Wreath With Hellebores

week 11 flowers

Hello my crafty friends,

Just wanted to share with you a card I did for a Christmas card challenge I am a member of on Facebook – Cardmaking Tips.  On Sunday we are given a theme then we create a Christmas card using that theme and post picture of it in album for that week.  At the end of the year you have your Christmas cards made and ready to send out.

On my card I have used Susan’s Garden Notes Evergreen Wreath #1221, Garden Notes Berry Spray 1481 with Nuvo Drops – Autumn Red for berries and Susan’s Garden Club Helleoborus Wood grain embossing folder and Close To My Heart stamp set – Christmas Joy #C1520.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time – Happy Crafting!

Hellebores in Tin

Hello my crafty friends welcome to my blog. I do hope that your start to 2020 has been going well.

Today I have a card that I created for a sweet friend’s birthday.

Step 1 Using Susan’s Garden Holly & Berries dies set cut stems from brown card stock then add berries using Nuvo Crystal Drops Berry Red set aside to dry then repeat on back side.

Step 2 Form card base by cutting white card stock 10″ X 7″ score at 5″ fold on score line card will be 5″ X 7″.

Step 3 Emboss card front

Step 4 Die cut oval from water color paper. Using Distress Oxide Sprays of your color choice add to oval. Spray with Nuvo Glitter Mist. Once dry adhere to card front using Nuvo Tape Runner.

Step 5 From white cardstock die cut 2 Susan’s Garden Helleoborus shade and shape. Shade and shape leaves.

Step 6 Die cut 2 Susan’sGarden Galvanized Bucket from gray cardstock which has double sided adhesive on back. Because I want more of cylinder shape I trimmed bucket down (I had a inspiration picture I was trying to replicate). Adhere one on top of other. Shade then emboss using folder that has vertical lines. Use couple dimensional squares on center bottom back of bucket. Adhere to bottom of oval on card front.

Step 7 Cut, shade and assemble Susan’s Garden Notes Queen Anne’s Lace.

Step 8 From brown cardstock using Tonic’s Verso Essentials Fallen Leaves die set cut 4 branches adhere 2 together using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 8 Arrange flowers and branches in bucket adhering using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Lenten Rose 70th

Hello my crafting friends, welcome to my blog!

Today I have a card I created for a dear friend that has been my friend since childhood. Our birthdays are a week apart and we have been exchanging birthday cards for many years.

My card was created using Susan’s Garden Club Helleborous, Japanese Painted Fern, Galvanized Bucket, Tonic Studios – Patterned Panels – Deco Diamonds and Nuvo Shimmer Powders.

Step 1 Using Craft Perfect Watercolor Paper and Nuvo Shimmer Powders in colors of your choice sprinkle powders onto watercolor paper lightly spritz with water continue until you like the results. Set aside to air dry. Cut to size of diamond panel.

Step 2 From white cardstock die cut 1 Deco Diamond Panel.

Step 3 Cut 1 piece of white cardstock 4-3/4″ X 6-3/4″ then using a rectangle die just a little smaller than the diamond panel cut rectangle in upper portion of cardstock.

Step 4 Using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive attach panel over the colored piece then center behind rectangle opening and adhere.

Step 5 die cut Galvanized Bucket mine is cut from Tim Holtz grungeboard which has coloring of my antique galvanized buckets. Used gray and white ink for a bit of shading. Add Craft Perfect Dimensional Squares to center back of bucket and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive around outer edges then adhere to bottom of diamond panel hold in place until adhesives adhere.

Step 6 Die cut Japanese Painted Fern from green cardstock add coloring using Magenta PanPastels. Adhere to card front in bucket.

Step 7 Cut 5 Susan’s Garden Club Helleborous from white cardstock using alcohol markers in colors of your choice color/shade and shape. I punched small stars from green cardstock and built my flowers on them. Arrange in bucket once satisfied with arrangement adhere using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Add leaves that have been cut from green cardstock then shaded and shaped. Add Lady Bug

Step 8 Die cut Happy from black cardstock (Suzanne Cannon’s Happy Birthday 3 die set was used here). Die cut #’s from black cardstock. Adhere to card front.

Well I do hope this has inspired you to go create your own version of this card.

Diamond Survivor

Diamond Survivor

Hello my crafty friends,

It has been a couple months since I last posted time has flown by.

As a lot of you know Susan Tierney Cockburn has joined Tonic Studios and yesterday they had a launch of her 1st release of her beautiful flower dies  under the Tonic Studios Logo on Create & Craft.   I am so excited to once again be a member of Susan’s Design Team I feel honored to represent her.

My post today features a few of those dies.

As you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and so my card was designed for a friend that is a breast cancer survivor.

My card is 6″ X 6″ I used Tonic’s card base.

Embellishment Mousse (Spring Green) was used along with their Stencil Twisting Circles to create background in center.

Pink cardstock was cut 5-3/4″ square and Diamond was cut in center.  Next white cardstock was cut 5-1/2 square and Diamond was cut in center of it using next larger size.  These were layered over the background on card front.

Japanese Painted Fern was cut from green cardstock Copic E09 was used to color stems and white PanPastels was used to give it the dusty look.  Using tweezers pinch up on fronds.  Using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive adhere ferns to right side of diamond opening.

Beauty Berry Bush die was cut from green cardstock berries added by using Nuvo Crystal Drops Autumn Red.  These were added over ferns using adhesive.

Using the Helleborus die cut out 3 flowers from white cardstock colored with Copic Marker, shaped and put together.  Add to the berries and ferns.

Stamped sentiment on white cardstock then layered onto pink cardstock.  Dimensional tape was used to attach.

While Susan is in UK she is filming YouTube videos on creating these beautiful flowers.

Eventually I will try to get back to typing tutorials for my cards but at this time I will just try to get cards posted.

I do hope that you have enjoyed my creation today and hope that you will check back often to see other creations.

Below I have linked products used if you click on a picture it will take you to their site where you can purchase.

Unfortunately Susan’s dies are only available from Create & Craft for the next 30 days then they will be available from Tonic.

Thanks for stopping by today and until next time – Happy Crafting!
